Hey Guys!

Firstly, let me start with a HUGE apology. It has been way too long since I’ve updated this news section of the website. Why? To be honest, I’ve been struggling to keep up. There have been over 70 gigs since the start of the year. This has included five interstate tours (to 4 States) and numerous presentations across Victoria. But… what’s happening now? What’s ahead?

I have a fantastic new team!

Pete Whalley has joined the team full time this year. He’s done an amazing job learning the tunes, helping out in the office (we are self managed at the moment – which adds to the challenge!) and working up the tunes for some upcoming recordings. We hope to have the “acoustic album” out in the not-too-distant future. Keep logging on for more details.

James McCormack has started hitting drums for us… and yes, he hits them incredibly well. Tonight we do our first official gig with him. This man is solid, creative, and dare I say simply a fantastic bloke. (smile) Keep an eye on the gigs page for an up-coming band show in your area.

Next week Pete and I fly out to Singapore. We are excited to see what opportunities arise. There is a management group organising this trip; so it’s an exciting step forward for us. Speaking of management… anyone out there with experience and gifting in this area? Help!

Two weeks ago we had the privilege of being photographed by Jason Lau. This man is talented. We’ll hopefully have the new shots up the gallery ASAP, but in the meantime here’s a sneak peak.

2010 - here we come!

Seasons Greetings one and all. It's hard to believe another year has almost passed; and what a huge year it has been for us! We have toured interstate numerous times (TAS, NSW, QLD, SA) and hit regional VIC more than ever before. We've seen an amazing response to the "Not Calming Down" project and on the other hand we've seen Graham finish up. BUT, we have some fantastic news...

 

The amazingly talented Pete Whalley will be joining the team full-time in 2010. He is a gifted guitarist and backing vocalist, bringing a tasty new flavour to our sound. In fact, he's already played acoustically with me about 30 times and we've begun work on the long overdue acoustic album (a collection of our singles - acoustic in arrangement). Due to Pete's full time availability in 2010, we've already begun booking some intense touring periods, including some overseas.

 

Stay tuned as we post tour information and extra details about the acoustic album. Thanks to all of you who have supported us in 2010 - buying albums, turning up to gigs, writing us emails, etc. Your involvement has made us smile. :)

Melbourne Concert This Saturday - Farewell Graham

Hey Guys!

Our final concert with Graham Moyle on guitar is this Saturday night in Melbourne! Come and see the man rip it up for the last time in the Simeon Band. This is a chance to celebrate all that he has brought to the band over the last couple of years. Rock on Grey! We are also supported by the VERY talented Vanessa Raine.

This concert is not to be missed! Only $10 Entry!! The venue is licensed and so people under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a legal guardian.

(For those who have been asking: Grey is moving into married life in the next few months and so is keen to not be on the road so much. We have a fantastic new guitarist we will be announcing after the concert.)
