The Action Continues

Long time no speak... so much to tell.

What a busy year it has been so far:

  •   **  A trip to New Zealand
  •   **  An Australian East Coast mini-tour
  •   **  15 very successful shows in the USA
  •   **  Many regional Victoria gigs
  •   **  And a weekend intensive in Sydney

We have a local Melbourne show coming up in July. Come along and catch Grey and me acoustic.  The feedback this year on our acoustic shows has been phenomenal.  Grey's tasteful playing seems to never disappoints. So come along to this all-age show and see what the talk is all about.

We're also planning to record an acoustic album in the next few months.  So many people have requested an acoustic recording after recent shows that we figure it's a must! There are some fantastic new songs we can't wait to get out there on a new disc.  Stay tuned.

Mid July Grey and I hit Queensland for a week and a half of gigs. Check the shows page of the website for more details.

In the USA

Hey guys!  Thanks for logging on.  Grey and I have not long been back from our "mini-tour" up the east coast of Australia.  It was full-on but one of the most rewarding trips yet.  We did 15 gigs in 9 days, met a million new wonderful people and Grey even caught some surf.  I was too busy romancing my wife and chasing my energetic 1 year old around to catch any waves.

Tomorrow I fly out for the great U.S of A. for my first ever visit.  So far I have 11 solo gigs booked over a 4 week period.  (Extra gigs are coming in by the day at the moment!)  This is a chance for me to show case the songs, meet a few new people, sign a multi-million dollar contract :), and take in the sights and sounds of America.  If you're an American reading this... I can't wait to meet you, mate!  If you're an Aussie reading this, I'll be back in Australia to start gigging again at the end of May.

Speak soon! Peace.

We're ready for more NZ

Parachute Festival has now been and gone. It was our first taste of New Zealand and we want more!  Maybe an acoustic tour later in the year?  Being our first performance at the festival (and in NZ), it was fantastic to have the opportunity to play the Main Stage and the second largest venue, the Palladium.  I must admit, though, that a highlight for me was one of our spots in the Supportas' Cafe. It was great to meet so many people. Some comments from the locals about us: "I didn't know Australia produced such fantastic music". "The best kept secret of the festival" (for those who didn't catch our sets -- smile); and simply, "Real good!".  Thanks NZ for such a warm welcome... it's a pity the surf didn't treat us the same :(.  I'm sure the winds will blow the right direction next time.
