Hello and welcome to the brand new Simeon website. It not only looks different, but has many added features to help you keep up to date with the band. Over the next few weeks the site will evolve to its full design. If a page that you are interested in is not online yet, please come back soon. It is currently being developed and will be up shortly. 2006 is going to be a huge one for Simeon. It begins this week with the new recording of ‘Home’ going out to radio. You can help it climb the TRAA charts by contacting your local station and asking them to play it, or, request it on the national Hot25 countdown! You can win a free copy of ‘Home’ if you live within Australia! The first 50 people to sign up to our new email data base will be mailed a CD copy of the radio release single. Click here to sign up now. Make sure your details are correct as you will be sent an email to confirm your postal address before the CD is mailed to you. On February 6, the album ‘Framed’ will be re-released. It features two new recordings of ‘Home’ and ‘Crazy for You’ and some subtle but tasty graphical changes. FROM OLD WEBSITE: Happy new year folks! Great news: the brand new SIMEON website will soon be launched. There will be a whole stack of new features including a blog, extra images and downloads. We estimate that it will be online by late January... so keep logging on! A new Simeon single will hit the airwaves shortly too. It is a new recording of 'Home'. The track is punchier than ever and perfect for the summer months (If you live in the northern hemisphere, it's perfect for the winter months - ha ha). Please make sure you request your local station to play it.
'Framed' will be re-released in February. It includes the new recordings of 'Home' and 'Crazy for You' and some subtle graphical changes. If you haven't yet got a copy of the album, February may be the time to lash out. We are currently negotiating to have it available at JB HiFi... and of course it will still be available online. |

Simeon is back in Australia after doing his first shows in Europe. Solo and acoustic, he did 10 concerts across the Czech Republic. "I loved the experience", said Simeon. "I can't believe how welcoming and appreciative the Czech people were. I was constantly asked when I would return and if I could bring the band. I'm gonna see what I can do... maybe an extensive European tour next year? It's amazing how similar aspects of Czech culture are to Australian... Czech is full of Hotels and clubs, serving the most beer per capita in the world. Australia's gotta be pretty close. I felt at home playing in these venues and sharing my songs and stories about life. We may be people who grew up on opposite sides of the planet, but we all want excitement and work through the same questions about life... and Czechs know how to enjoy a concert. I'd never been asked for 3 encores before playing in Czech!" Now that Simeon's back in the country he's working on a new album and doing numerous performances including a VIC regional mini-tour with A77 and Rhinosaur. See Performance page for details. |
